Indonesia: Grounded Cargo Vessel

Due to the grounding of a cargo vessel in the Java Sea, “KTC 1”, which ran aground off Karang Jamuang channel on last Thursday, 5 October 2017, Budd Indonesia wishes to advise the following:

It has been reported that the vessel is still in the breached position, at 06’53”17,8 S / 112’44”05,3 E and is yet to be removed from the scene. 16 crew members have been evacuated. All vessels proceeding in or out of the Tanjung Perak port of Surabaya, via the Karang Jamuang channel, are advised to proceed with caution.

It was reported that the vessel sailed in from Jamrud wharf, Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya, East Java, on Wednesday 4 October 2017 at 02.00 local time, for Perawang, Pekanbaru (Riau Province), with a cargo of Limestone.
